Optimization of Multicultural Islamic Education in Building Student Character

چکیده

This study aims to reveal Multicultural Islamic Education in building student character terms of personal character, human and national which is systemized a boarding school education for four years. The research used qualitative-phenomenological approach at the Al-Hikam Student Boarding School, Malang Indonesia. Data collection by using in-depth interviews, observations documents involving all students, several ustadz councils caregivers taken purposively. results this indicate that after taking education, students have characteristics independence, humility, honesty love knowledge. Human characters such as mutual cooperation, respect opinions others, deliberation love. National tolerance, equality, justice non-violence.
